CODE OF CONDUCT

Our mission as Otu- Umuokpu Anambra, USA Association is to promote and uphold our welfare and culture, to foster unity, love, and harmony among us.

The bye-laws of OTU -UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC Houston Texas is the supreme source of authority for governing the members of the said Association and implementing the mission, duties, obligations, and objectives of the Association.

No current member or ex-member of OTU-UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC  is authorized (within 10 years of termination or voluntary leaving this association)  to initiate /form a duplicate Organization or Association bearing the words  “OTU-UMUOKPU “or “UMUOKPU ANAMBRA “within the USA or Nigeria. OTU –UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC

No current member of this Association shall belong to a duplicate Association formed in parallel to OTU-UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC. To avoid conflict of interest. A member who joins such a parallel Association or Organization will automatically lose her membership and benefit therewith.


Such formed Organization, or Association or Club should not copy or use any of OTU-UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC  logo, bye- Laws, constitution, uniform, music, etc.,

No member or members of OTU –UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC shall record or video the minutes of the general or executive meetings without authorization of the 2/3  majority vote. Any member found guilty of such action must face disciplinary action, including termination or possible legal actions.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
The official language of the OTU- UMUOKPU ANAMBRA, USA ASSOCIATION, INC is Igbo language. Accommodation will be made for those members that cannot understand the language which includes offering Igbo classes and such members will attend if so desire.
